With all of the happy, busy craziness of the past few months, I had taken a break from my most consistent hobby: knitting. Now that there is some down time and a chance to breathe, it’s so nice to have time to wiggle the sticks again. Tonight I went searching for a few new projects… and the “First Fall” edition of Knitty did not disappoint. Just look at these beautiful knits.
Wouldn’t this be wonderful to keep in the office for the days when the AC is a little too chilly?
I think I would wear prettier shoes if I made more lacy socks like this to show off:
And these neat cuffs will put all that leftover sock yarn to great use!
As if that isn’t enough inspiration, I’m drooling over a new knitting book that’s been released recently: Knitting Plus by Lisa Shroyer.
It’s always been difficult for plus size knitters to find stylish patterns, so sweater patterns like this make me smile:
I think I could be convinced to put down the sock yarn long enough to knit something that beautiful.
When it’s this hot outside, it’s odd to think about cozy sweaters and snuggly wool socks, but if I want to wear it this winter, it’s time to knit it now!
Are you thinking ahead to any fall or winter projects?
Good night, all!
